Live elsewhere in Bedfordshire? There are 18 other army cadet detachments in the county, including ones in Bromham, Kempston, Wootton, Bedford, Cranfield, Harrowden, Biggleswade, Luton, Leagrave, Leighton Buzzard, Stanbridge, Toddington, Ampthill, Lidlington, Biggleswade, Sandy, Chicksands, and Stotfold. The Army Cadet Force also recruits people aged 18 or over from all walks of life to become adult instructors, to help lead and teach its cadets. No previous military experience is required, as full training is given. However, potential instructors will need to be committed, as a typical detachment parades two nights a week, and various training weekends take place as well as a two week summer camp each year.
